Knights of Columbus California State Advocate Elect Charlie Clark |

Press Release June 2008: Charles (Charlie) Clark, a longtime resident of Rancho Cordova, was on May 17th 2008 elected to the position of State Advocate of the California State Knights of Columbus Council. This prestigious position at the State level naturally follows Charlie Clark’s service as State Warden for last year. Charlie Clark has years of service at the local level, where he has served the St. John Vianney parish, the Rancho Cordova community, and the Sacramento area in various volunteer capacities. Among other community contributions, Charlie continues to manage regular blood drives, St. John Vianney Parish. Originally hailing from Indiana, Charlie first arrived in Rancho Cordova in 1978, when he was transferred here by his employer- Frontier Airlines. A devout Catholic, Charlie joined the Knights of Columbus at St. John Vianney on June 1, 1981- beginning a life of regular community service through his affiliation with the Knights. In 1989, he went to work for the Franchise Tax Board, where he met, and later married, his wife Sandi. Charlie has been deeply involved in all elements of the Knights of Columbus organization, and now he will be devoting his time to assisting the State Board with oversight of the organization. This position, elected by his peers from all over California, carries a one year term. |
