Welcome, Brother Lucas Duval!
Please join us in welcoming Brother Lucas Duval to Blessed Sacrament Council 5322!
Lucas transferred to our council from Our Lady of Grace Church in West Sacramento. He and his wife recently purchased a home in our community and will now be calling St. John Vianney Parish their spiritual home. We are grateful to welcome Lucas into our brotherhood of Catholic men dedicated to Charity, Unity, and Fraternity. We look forward to growing in faith and serving our parish and community together. We were honored to welcome District Deputy SK Pete Lopez to our Knights of Columbus General Meeting. It was especially meaningful to have him with us as we welcomed our newest Brother Knight and recognized a new Fourth Degree Sir Knight.

We are looking for 3 more volunteers to help support our upcoming Knights of Columbus Soccer Challenge on Friday, September 11, 2026, at St. John Vianney School.
We are also asking all Brother Knights to help spread the word by sharing the event with your family, friends, and fellow parishioners. We hope to have a strong turnout, especially from SJV School students and children throughout our parish community. This is a great opportunity for the Knights to support our youth, bring families together, and strengthen the connection between our Council, parish, and school. Brothers, if you have children who are Catholic students in grades 8–12 and are members of St. John Vianney Parish, please encourage them to participate in our 2026–2027 Knights of Columbus Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest.
This is a great opportunity for our young Catholics to reflect on their faith, citizenship, and God-given rights while sharing their thoughts through writing. 🏆First Prize will be awarded to the winner in each grade level (8th–12th). 📅 Entry Deadline: September 13, 2026 Please help us spread the word to other families in our parish! |

Congratulations to Sir Knight Joseph Fisher!
Blessed Sacrament Council 5322 proudly recognizes Brother Joseph Fisher on becoming a Fourth Degree Knight at the 164th Exemplification of Patriotism, held on September 5, 2026, at St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church in North Highlands. The Fourth Degree calls Catholic men to live their faith publicly, defend religious liberty, promote civic responsibility, and serve as examples of faithful citizenship. Sir Knights support veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, and community initiatives that strengthen the bonds among faith, family, and country. By entering the Fourth Degree, Sir Knight Joseph embraces the principle of Patriotism and renews his commitment to serve God, Church, country, and community with faith, honor, charity, and unity. Supporting Brother Joseph at the ceremony were PGK Derrick Andrade and PGK Frank Donagher, PFN. Please join us in congratulating SK Joseph Fisher on this important milestone in his journey as a Knight of Columbus. Five are studying at Mount Angel Seminary in St. Benedict, Oregon, while 12 are studying at St. Patrick’s Seminary & University in Menlo Park, California.
Our sponsored seminarian, Tuan Nguyen, whom Blessed Sacrament Council 5322 is proud to support, will continue his priestly formation at Mount Angel Seminary during this new academic year. Please keep Tuan and all our diocesan seminarians in your prayers as they continue discerning and answering God’s call to the priesthood. Council HonorsEach month, we proudly recognize a Knight and a Family who exemplify the spirit of charity, unity, and fraternity. Through their dedication and service, they strengthen our brotherhood and make a meaningful impact in our parish and community. We honor their commitment and thank them for living out our mission.

Knights Support the Turo-Turo Food Sale
The Turo-Turo Food Sale, hosted by the Filipino American Apostolate (FAA), was a wonderful fundraiser supporting the upcoming San Lorenzo Ruiz Fiesta.
Many of our Brother Knights came out to serve and support the event, including FAA President Chester Palonpon and Grand Knight Roy Carlisle, along with many other Knights who helped behind the scenes or simply came hungry to enjoy and support the delicious Filipino breakfast and lunch offerings.
The response from our parish community was tremendous! The food was so popular that many of the breakfast favorites were already sold out by the end of the first Mass.
Events like Turo-Turo are about more than great food. They bring our parish family together through faith, fellowship, culture, and service while supporting the celebration of San Lorenzo Ruiz, the first Filipino saint and martyr.
We thank the Filipino American Apostolate, our Brother Knights, volunteers, parishioners, and everyone who supported the fundraiser.
Together in faith, together in service, and together as one parish family.
