Firework Flyer
In just two weeks, we will begin our annual Knights of Columbus Fireworks Sale fundraiser at the Saint John Vianney parking lot!

We ask all Brother Knights to help spread the word by sharing our flyers with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and fellow parishioners. The more we promote the event, the greater our opportunity to make this fundraiser a success and support our parish, school, and community programs.

A volunteer sign-up sheet will be available soon. We encourage all Brother Knights to consider donating some of their time to help staff the booth throughout the event. Every hour volunteered makes a difference and helps ensure a successful fundraiser.

Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession - A Beautiful Witness of Faith

The parish community came together in faith and devotion for the Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession, led by Father Antonio Gutierrez. The event was a tremendous success, with more than the estimated 150 parishioners participating in this special celebration of the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

United in prayer, worship, and fellowship, participants processed along a one-mile route through the community, publicly bearing witness to their faith and devotion to our Lord. The procession was a beautiful reminder of the strength of our parish family and our shared commitment to bringing Christ into the world.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Father Antonio Gutierrez, Father Brandon Meza, the parish ministries, volunteers, and everyone who attended and contributed to this beautiful expression of faith. Through their dedication and participation, this celebration became a powerful witness to Christ's presence in our community.

A special thank you to Martin Wong for serving as the project manager and coordinating the many ministries, volunteers, and parish groups that came together to make this event possible. His leadership, organization, and commitment helped ensure a well-planned and successful procession for our parish community.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to the Knights of Columbus, both the English-speaking and Spanish-speaking brother Knights, for their dedication and service in supporting this event. Their assistance with planning, setup, traffic control, safety, and logistics helped ensure a safe, successful, and prayerful procession for all participants.

In addition, we extend our gratitude to the Rancho Cordova Police Department for their support and partnership in helping provide a safe environment for our parish community throughout the procession. Their presence and assistance were greatly appreciated and contributed to the success of this beautiful public witness of faith.

May the blessings of this Eucharistic celebration continue to strengthen our parish, deepen our love for the Holy Eucharist, and inspire us to be living witnesses of Christ's love in our homes, our parish, and our community.

Reflection from the 162nd Exemplification of Patriotism

At the 162nd Exemplification of Patriotism on June 6, 2026, Brother Joseph Manzano and I were honored to be surrounded by distinguished members of the Knights of Columbus, including the Color Corps and Honor Guards, District Marshals, State Officers, and clergy who made this memorable event possible.

We were especially privileged to meet and take photographs with Vice Supreme Master Roark Galloway, District Marshal Richard Thompson, and Reverend Frederick Kutubebi, Pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church. Their dedication to the Knights of Columbus and their commitment to faith, patriotism, and service were truly inspiring.

The Exemplification was conducted with great reverence, professionalism, and fraternity, making it a meaningful experience for all candidates. Witnessing the traditions of the Fourth Degree and being welcomed into the ranks of Sir Knights was both humbling and inspiring.

A special thank you goes to Sir Knight Frank Donagher, PGK, of Blessed Sacrament Council 5322. Despite the long drive, Frank took the time to attend the ceremony and support Brother Joe and me on this important milestone. His presence meant a great deal to both of us. I am especially grateful for the kindness and attention he showed my son throughout the day, providing guidance, sharing information about the Fourth Degree process, and ensuring my son felt welcomed and engaged during the ceremony. His mentorship, generosity, and dedication exemplify the true spirit of brotherhood that makes the Knights of Columbus such a special organization.

On behalf of Brother Joseph Manzano and myself, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Vice Supreme Master's staff, the District Marshals, the Color Corps, Honor Guards, clergy, and all the volunteers who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organize and conduct such a successful Exemplification. Your dedication and commitment created an unforgettable experience for every candidate and exemplified the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.

Thank you for your service, hospitality, and leadership. We are honored to join the ranks of the Fourth Degree and look forward to serving the Church, the Knights of Columbus, and our communities as Sir Knights.

On June 6, 2026, at the 162nd Exemplification of Patriotism held in American Canyon, California, Brothers Joseph Manzano and Trung Nguyen were honored by receiving the Patriotic Fourth Degree of the Knights of Columbus. This significant milestone represents a deeper commitment to the principles of the Order and a special dedication to the virtue of Patriotism.

The Fourth Degree is the highest degree in the Knights of Columbus and emphasizes a Catholic man's duty to serve both God and country. Through this degree, Sir Knights are called to be visible witnesses of faith, citizenship, and leadership within their parishes and communities.
Receiving the Fourth Degree is both an honor and a responsibility. It calls Catholic men to live their faith publicly, defend religious liberty, promote civic responsibility, and serve as examples of faithful citizenship. Sir Knights are encouraged to support veterans, active military personnel, first responders, and community initiatives that strengthen the bonds between faith, family, and country.

Congratulations to Sir Knights Joseph Manzano and Trung Nguyen on this important milestone. May God bless them as they continue to serve Christ, His Church, and our country through the principles of the Knights of Columbus.

Thank you to all the brothers who participated in our Knights Walk & Coffee gathering.  It was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship, share conversations, and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood that unite us as Knights of Columbus.

Events like these remind us that fraternity is built not only through service to our parish and community, but also through spending time together, supporting one another, and growing in friendship and faith.

A special thank you to Brother Ernesto Basa for providing the photos and helping capture these memorable moments of fellowship and brotherhood.
